We announce the passing of Eric Harkna, a long-time Chicago Estonian House member and former Estonian Honorary Consul, on Friday, December 20th, after an extended illness. Eric served as the Honorary Consul in Chicago from 1997 to 2023 and was also a guest lecturer at the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations and the World Economics Forum. He was a member of the United States Baltic Foundation and was awarded the White Star (IV Class) by the President of the Republic of Estonia in 2024 for his service.
