Rein Raja, a long-time member of the Chicago Estonian House, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022, in the room he considered home in his assisted living facility in St. Petersburg, Florida. He is survived by his wife Geri Raja. Rein will be cremated, and plans for what will follow are in discussion. In the meantime, the Florida Eesti Selts (of which he was also a member and their treasurer) is composing a tribute to Rein, and they invite you to participate by emailing your reflections to Tõnu Toomepuu or Triin Karr this week.
