  • Vana Tallinn Grand Reopening

    After a much-needed remodeling, our iconic bar "Vana Tallinn" is reopening on May 8th with a ribbon cutting at 6 pm. Come join us as we celebrate the hard work by our volunteer workmen who have devoted time since February to do this beautiful work. You won't believe the unique "Estonian River" that flows through the middle of the bar top! Pärast hädavajalikku ümberehitamist avatakse meie ikooniline baar "Vana Tallinn" taas 8. mail lindilõikamisega kell 18.   • Eurovision Grand Final Watch Party

    Come and watch the Grand Final of the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest at the Chicago Estonian House. Broadcast begins at 2:00 pm. Let's cheer for Estonia's entrant Uku Suviste singing "The Lucky One". Come dressed in costume! Tule ja vaata 2021. aasta Eurovisiooni lauluvõistluse suurt finaali Chicago Eesti majas. Ülekanne algab kell 14:00. Rõõmustame Eesti sisseastujale Uku Suviste, kes laulab "Õnnelikku". Tule kostüümi riietatult!    

  • Jaanipäev / Mid-summer Festival

    Join us this year for our traditional Jaanipäev celebration. This year we will feature a Šašlõkk (Estonian Style Shish Kabob) Competition. Teams will compete for Judges choice and People's choice awards. Admission to the park $10. Park opens at 2:00 pm. Draft beer served. Ends with a traditional bonfire. Tulge Eesti Majja sel aastal meie traditsioonilise Jaanipäeva tähistamiseks. Sel aastal toimub meil Šašlõkk võistlus. Võistkonnad võistlevad kohtunike valiku ja rahva valiku auhindade nimel. Parki sissepääs 10 dollarit. Park avatakse kell 14.00. Vaadiõlu pakutakse. Lõpeb traditsioonilise jaanitulega.

  • Eesti Vabariigi 104. Aastapäeva tähistamine

    Ceremony to mark the 104th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Estonia. Program and speakers TBD. We encourage all of our guests to wear face masks while at the Estonian House, to congregate only in small groups, and observe social distancing at all times. If you have a fever, are coughing or have shortness of breath, please do not come to the Estonian House.

  • Jaanipäev – Midsummer Festival

    The Estonian House's grounds will be open for our traditional Estonian mid-summer celebration. We will have a grill-bar (beginning at 5 pm), draft beer, games and bonfire. Juulius Koppel Ensemble from Estonia will perform with the music beginning at 8:00 pm. Park will open at 4:00 pm. Admission is $25 per person (children free).
